Irrelevant Michele Bachmann Accuses LGBT Community of Bullying

In Depth

Ever the “pay attention to me and do it NOW” sort, conservative-legend-in-her-own-mind Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn) labeled LGBT opposition to Arizona SB 1062 and its subsequent veto at the hands of Governor Jan Brewer (R) as “bullying the American people.” Yes, because that’s totally the direction bullying goes when queer people are involved, am I right?

While at the Conservative Political Action Conference, Bachmann was on the Lars Larson Show to apparently talk about conservative stuff, like how liberals hate the US Constitution and use “activist judges” and “executive orders” from “lawless” President Obama in order to circumvent the normal constitutional amendment process. She pointed to LGBT opposition to SB 1062, which would have allowed businesses to refuse to serve customers on religious grounds, as evidence that politicians have been “bullied” by the “gay community.”

There’s nothing about gays in there. But the gay community decided to make this their measure. I think the thing that is getting a little tiresome, the gay community, they have so bullied the American people, and they’ve so intimidated politicians. The politicians fear them, so that they think they get to dictate the agenda everywhere.

Uh huh. Suuuuuuuuuure. I’d roll my eyes, but I’m afraid that they might not go back that far in my head. If they did, they might get stuck, and I’d have to seek medical attention at 10PM on a Wednesday night (Japan time, of course). Thanks to Right Wing Watch, you can listen to the whole nausea-inducing logic fail here:

I believe it is an appropriate time for some Michele Bachmann Bad Lip Reading. God knows she can’t make any less sense:
